We’re pleased to announce the first official Annotum updates on the WordPress.org theme directory since our original launch in November 2011.
Although we’ve posted a number of updates on the Annotum downloads page since then, the latest versions are now available for automatic updates within your Annotum site, directly from WordPress.org.
In addition to the latest version, v1.1.1, of the Annotum Base theme, we’ve also released v1.1.1 of a child theme, Annotum Sans.

Version 1.1.1 includes all the fixes from version 1.1, in addition to some additional tweaks, fixes, and updates.
Many thanks to the folks at Crowd Favorite and Solvitor LLC who worked on the code, to the PLoS Currents team who funded a good portion of v1.1, and to all of the users, bug-reporters, and others who helped contribute to this latest version.
In the coming months, we’ll be talking more about v2.0 of Annotum, including a dramatically improved text editing and XML validation component. But for now, upgrade and enjoy!
